How are you doing? My week has been quite hectic, so I spoiled myself with ordering makeup online, typical. It made me happy though. To the chase…
I had this breakthrough with my toner. I have always hated using a toner and didn’t see it as a necessary step for my skin, even if I had rough skin. Then I read an article… It said that you need to use toner to remove the chalk that comes with the tap water you use to cleanse your face, ew. And it’s aside from moisturizing and removing excess dirt and makeup, which I already knew. I was so disgusted for not using toner, so my journey began and I decided to look into the use of toner even deeper.
I found and read about this Korean skincare method where you pat your toner onto your skin in 7 layers. It is called the ‘7 Skin Method’. The idea of the 7 Skin Method is to moisturize the skin without the heavy and greasy feel that comes with cream and oil products. Applying the layers of toner instead does not clog pores and doesn’t create a heavy layer.
I thought that it sounds crazy to think that someone actually layers toner that much, so time consuming and waste of product. I must admit that besides that I was interested in trying out this method. But only with 1 or 2 layers of toner, because I’m lazy and the 7 layers would take so much time.
Well, it works! My skin is now more hydrated, plump and glowier than before. My skin normally is quite dry on the surface so this method has been really useful and needed. The best part of this is that after applying the 2 layers of toner my skin absorbs the moisturizer better. The oil and cream products actually sink into your skin faster if your skin is damp. I don’t know if I will ever layer the toner 7 times but my way has worked enough for now.
Are you willing to try out this method? Or have you already tried it?
