Crisis has hit my makeup bag, a beautiful crisis from the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick collection. In search of a summer shade I ended up with a more fall/winter colored lip option. Crisis is a warm toned muted plum with a cream finish. Overwhelmed by the UD stand this shade just really caught my eye and there was no turning back. The hole Vice lipstick collection has to offer more than 100 shades and 6 different formulas:
Mega matte (super matte)
Comfort matte (a creamy matte)
Cream (the OG texture)
Metallized (highly pearlized cream texture)
Sheer (sheer glossy finish)
Sheer shimmer (sheer with shimmer)
Vice lipsticks offer a pigment beyond my expectation. One layer gives so much color payoff that there is no need to pack on the lipstick. The cream formula applies smooth, is comfortable to wear and hydrates appropriately. It lasts for four hours on the lips when not eating or drinking. So, it needs to be applied more than once a day if you love eating.
The packaging reminds me of a bullet. I really like the sleek look of it! A gunmetal and gold combination is appealing to the eyes. I think that it really suits the hole UD collection since it is an edgy, bad-girl range. The only downside of the packaging is that the cap is tight to remove, and if you are in a hurry it doesn’t cooperate with you.
For a fall/winter shade I have been using this during the summer since it complements green and blue eyes, making them pop even more. And I don’t know if it is the color or something else but this lipstick makes my tiny lips look bigger, plumper and more amazing overall. Really happy with Crisis.
I admit that it was really hard to choose one lipstick from the wide color range. I also wish that some shades that were a cream finish would have also been with a matte finish. I am interested in trying out the comfort matte formula for a more expanded experience. Still, the range is wide enough for girls of all colored skin tones and everyone will find their perfect match. Huge thumbs up from that!
Vice lipsticks are less expensive than most high end brands. It’s actually pretty moderate when thinking that drugstore makeup is getting higher in price, this one stays in the middle ground.
Thank you for reading!
